What I Love After Wandering Around Ho Chi Minh city, Vietnam

For people who has fall in love with Asia travel trips, Ho Chi Minh city is surely must visit destination whenever you have chance visit Vietnam.
Ho Chi Minh always attracted travelers by its bustling atmosphere, its historical French Architecture, culinary experiences …
You have to walk like a local, eat like a local… and explore Saigon as a Saigonese to experience all of its traits.
These things below were my best experiences I have tried during my 2 days in Ho Chi Minh city
1. Notre Dame Cathedral

The building’s architecture was based on Notre-Dame de Paris. It possesses numerous historical values and also cultural values. Notre-Dame Cathedral Saigon was built with materials imported from France. With a height of 57.6 meters, its bell towers is are highest ones in Vietnam. Only on Christmas Eve will all the bells ring together
2. Ho Chi Minh Central Post Office
It was built from 1886 to 1891 by The French under the design of the architect Villedieu with an assistant named Foulhoux, combined European style with Asian decor
There are some tables depicting French well-known historical figures such as Laplace, Voltaire, Arage, Gay-Lvssac… at the front of the post office.
3. Bui Vien Street

In Ho Chi Minh city, this street is well-known as Western Street or “Backpackers Street” because you will easily come across expats, foreigners, backpacker travelers here. The street seems to never sleep and stores never close. Travelers can take advantage of many services from hotel, from transportation to massage, tattoo, cafe, dining and street food.
4. War Remnants Museum — The best exhibit of Vietnam War
The museum features American atrocities, highlighting the horrors of war. As graphic and confronting as it can be, the museum provides visitors with the truest picture of the pain war victims suffer, even to this day.
War Remnants Museum of Vietnam covers 5,400 square meters, in which the exhibition area is 4,522 square meters. It includes many buildings that store military equipment, photographs from the effects of Agent Orange, Napalm and Phosphorus.
5. The Mekong Delta
The Mekong Delta has been dubbed as a “biological treasure trove”. Over 1,000 animal species were recorded between 1997 and 2007 and new species of plants, fish, lizards, and mammals have been discovered in previously unexplored areas

For over 100 years, people living in this area have been used to making a living right on boats along the tropical river, rowing all day. Since then, floating markets in Mekong Delta have become a way of life and a vital culture of the dwellers
It will take you approximately 1–2 hours to go to Mekong Delta (by car) from Ho Chi Minh city.
6. Cu Chi Tunnels
The Cu Chi Tunnels were used by (Vietnamese guerrilla soldiers) Viet Cong as hiding spots during combat, as well as serving as communication and supply routes, hospitals, food and weapon (Wikipedia)
The tunnels are an immense network of connecting underground tunnels located in the Cu Chi District of Ho Chi Minh City and are part of a much larger network of tunnels that underlie much of the country
If you truly are an adventure travelers, you must try explore this underground network tunnels which was built by Vietnamese guerrilla soldiers during Vietnam War.
7. Ben Thanh market — the oldest market in Ho Chi Minh City

Ben Thanh Market was built in from 1912 to march of 1914. Its history is divided into two parts, the old market period and the new market period.
In February of 1859, 2 days after The French took hold of Gia Dinh (Ho Chi Minh City’s old name), the Vietnamese soldiers organized a fire attack burnt the market in the process. In 1860, the French built back Ben Thanh Market in its original location.
